Asian Sound Radio is a commercial Radio Station that was set up 15 Years ago by Mr Shujat and Shafat Ali as an idea with some friends which led to an application to the radio authority for RSL.... It was from these humble beginnings that we have gone on to flourish and play our part in evolution for the Asian Media Market with Shujat Ali as the Managing Director of the company.
The main Inspiration for this was the push, drive and unadulterated belief that Farhat Nasim had in her brothers, Shujat and Shafat with the future of the station dedicated to the remembrance of their beloved sister.
ASR first hit the airwaves in 1996 and had recently celebrated the achievement of 10 years strong although the next 10 years look to be even more exciting with the new media revolution that is happening . This has allowed Asian Sound Radio to expand into the ASR group which currently has its feet wet in all platforms of media production, entertainment, charities and media affiliation.
