Compass FM began broadcasting at 10am on Sunday 3rd June 2001, and our purpose-built studios are situated in Wellowgate in the heart of Grimsby. Programmes are sent via underground cables to the transmitter site, from where the quality FM signal originates.
Compass FM plays the best music from the last five decades and beyond. We appeal to a family audience by showcasing some of the world's most melodic and memorable songs from the 50s to today combined with information and competitions. Our official target audience are those between 45-64 years old however, we believe that it's a station for the whole family - Mum need never worry what the children will hear on the school run but we still manage to make you smile. We'll also keep you up to date with new music and provide a few specialist shows such as The Sunday Collection and our monthly visit to the Sunday Night Theatre.
